Thursday 23rd June 2005 saw the fourth MPSL
resident’s golf championship take place at Northwood Golf
Club.
We were again blessed with good weather and the new Northwood
greens proved to be very challenging.
Sixteen golfers took part, with a record twenty-eight attending
the dinner afterwards, a far cry from the six that took part the
first year.
This year we had prizes for longest drive on
the 18th and nearest the pin on the tricky 3rd
The format was three and four balls starting
at 2.00pm. There were representatives of Batchworth Park, Moor
Park, Northwood, Pinner Hill and Sandy Lodge Golf Clubs present
so in addition to the prizes for the best overall score and the
challenge cup there was also a competition for the best average
score of the four clubs represented.
