Thursday 1st June 2006 saw the fifth MPSL
residents’ Golf
Championship take place at Batchworth Park Golf Club.
This time we were fortunate to benefit from good weather, which
was very different from the time when the competition was last
held here in 2002! As usual, Batchworth Park were very hospitable
in hosting the event.
Eighteen golfers took part, with 24 attending the dinner afterwards,
a far cry from the 6 that took part in the first year.
This year we had prizes for the Longest Drive and Nearest the
Pin for both Men and Ladies.
The format was 3-ball starting at 2.00 pm. There were representatives
present from Batchwork Park, Moor Park, Northwood, Pinner Hill
and Sandy Lodge Golf Clubs, so in addition to the prizes for
the best overall score and the Challenge Cup, there was also
a competition for the best average score of the 4 clubs represented.
